Compatible time clocks

Time clock compatibility: does your terminal work with TEMPO?

TEMPO is an online HRIS for companies in Morocco whose time and attendance module is compatible with ZKTeco time clocks driven by the SDK protocol (port 4370) and Hikvision terminals that send their events over HTTP (ISAPI). This page lists the supported models, those connected in real conditions, what to check on your time clock and how to bring over its data.

Which time clock brands are compatible?

ZKTeco and Hikvision, two common brands in companies in Morocco.

  • ZKTeco: our servers read the time clock over the network (SDK protocol, port 4370) and send it employees, badges and fingerprints.
  • Hikvision: the time clock sends each punch to the cloud over HTTPS, within a second.

Without a time clock, employees can also clock in from their phone with the time and attendance app.

Which models are supported today?

“Tested”: connected in real conditions; “protocol”: compatible by protocol.

What should you check on a time clock before connecting it?

  1. 1

    The exact model reference

On the label on the back of the housing, suffix included.

  2. 2

    The serial number

On the label or in the information menu.

  3. 3

    The network connection

An Ethernet port or Wi-Fi, with a fixed IP address.

  4. 4

    Administrator access

The password for the time clock’s menu or web interface.

How do you bring over the data from an existing time clock?

You do not start from scratch: TEMPO reads the time clock’s users, you link each ID to an employee, and the punches in its memory are imported without duplicates. Fingerprints and faces stay on the time clock: nobody re-enrolls.

History from previous software is imported from an Excel file.

What happens when the time clock loses its connection?

It keeps recognizing employees and stores punches in its memory; TEMPO fetches them when the connection comes back.

Every morning, an email lists offline time clocks to the managers of the sites concerned.

Is my existing time clock compatible with TEMPO?

If it is a ZKTeco that can be driven by the SDK protocol or a Hikvision DS-K1T terminal, very likely. Twelve models are supported, two of them connected in real conditions: the ZKTeco MA300 and the Hikvision DS-K1T343MFWX. Give us your time clock’s exact model reference and we will confirm the steps to follow.

How do I bring over my time clock’s data?

TEMPO reads the users stored on the time clock and the punches in its memory. You link each ID to an employee, without re-enrolling fingerprints, and punches are attached as soon as the link is made. History from previous software is imported from an Excel file.

Does a time clock keep punches without internet?

Yes. The time clock recognizes employees and stores punches in its memory even without a connection. When the connection comes back, TEMPO fetches what is missing and discards duplicates. An unreachable time clock shows as offline and appears in the daily email sent to managers.
