What is online time and attendance?
Online time and attendance puts the software on servers reachable over the internet. Punches arrive there directly, and everyone accesses it with a browser, from the office, another site or a phone.
No more reception PC tied to the time clock, USB stick and Excel file sent to payroll: that setup breaks at the second site or the first breakdown.
Do you need to install a server or software?
No. TEMPO opens in a recent browser, on computer, tablet or phone, and updates arrive with no action on your part. On site, all that remains is the time clock and its internet connection: no computer needs to stay on.
How does a time clock connect to the cloud?
Hikvision time clocks send each punch to TEMPO as it happens; ZKTeco time clocks (K40, F18, MA300, uFace…) are polled remotely. An internet outage loses nothing: the time clock keeps punches in memory and TEMPO collects them when it comes back.

Does a Wi-Fi time clock work without a computer on site?
Yes, if the software is online and can talk to it. With TEMPO, a Hikvision time clock sends its punches directly over the internet and a ZKTeco time clock is polled remotely. No PC needs to stay on at the site. Wi-Fi only replaces the network cable.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The time clock keeps recording punches in its memory, and TEMPO collects them when the connection returns. On a phone, a punch made offline is kept on the device and sent later with its original time. Only viewing the software requires a connection.
Does online time and attendance work across several sites?
