Why is factory attendance a problem for standard software?
Because the night shift cuts the day in two. An operator who clocks in at 10 pm on Monday and out at 6 am on Tuesday has worked one shift, but software that sorts punches by date sees two anomalies and zero hours.
Add to that rotations, end-of-shift overtime and hundreds of passes at the time clock at every shift change.
How does TEMPO handle the night shift?
Each shift belongs to the day it starts: the 9:55 pm clock-in and the 6:10 am clock-out form a single working day, Monday. Shift-change punches fall into the right shift and duplicates are discarded.
Each day keeps its calculation trace, so a team leader can see where a figure comes from.

How do you schedule 2x8 or 3x8 teams?
With work cycles, a sequence of days that repeats. A classic 3x8: Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts, a 21-day cycle, and each team starting the cycle on a different day.
The cycle fills the schedules, which the manager adjusts in the grid. Overtime is counted per day or per week (beyond 44 hours, article 184 of the Labour Code).

Which time clock should you install at a factory entrance?
At shift change, identification speed matters more than anything. Facial recognition avoids contact and works with gloves on; fingerprint and badge remain options (comparison). Several time clocks can serve the same site.

How do you track a night team that finishes the next day?
In TEMPO, a shift belongs to the day it starts. Punches are searched for in a window around the planned shift, by default from 2 hours before the start to 4 hours after the end. A 10 pm clock-in and a 6 am clock-out the next day therefore form a single working day, with no anomaly.
Can time and attendance software handle 3x8 shifts?
Yes. TEMPO describes a 3x8 rotation as a work cycle of 1 to 56 days, each day being a shift or a rest day. Each team starts the cycle on a different day. The cycle fills the schedules, which the manager then adjusts in the grid, and each night shift is linked to its start day.
How is night overtime paid in Morocco?
Under article 201 of the Labour Code, which TEMPO applies by default, overtime carries a 50% premium between 9 pm and 6 am on a working day, and 100% on a weekly rest day or public holiday. In the daytime, the rates are 25% and 50%. A more favorable agreement is added through your own bands.
Can several time clocks serve the same factory?
Yes. A site can have several ZKTeco or Hikvision time clocks. You send the employees of your choice to each one, by site, by department or individually, and punches from all time clocks feed the same calculation. Duplicates less than 60 seconds apart are discarded by default.
