Do you need to install an app from an app store?
No. The employee opens their company’s address in their phone’s browser, Android or iPhone, and adds it to their home screen. It then opens full screen and updates itself.
Large buttons, text in French, light or dark mode: the screen is designed for an entry-level phone.
How does an employee without email sign in?
With their phone number and a password, or by scanning the activation QR code HR gives them. A new hire is ready from day one.
What can an employee do from their phone?

How does clocking in from the phone work?
The “Clock in” button takes the position and compares it with the site perimeter, with a selfie if the site asks for one. Without a network, the punch is kept on the phone and sent as soon as the connection returns.

How does the employee receive their payslip online?
As soon as HR publishes the month’s payslips, each employee is notified and downloads theirs as a PDF. They see only their own payslips. Memos arrive in the same place, and HR sees who has read them. See payroll preparation.
What does a manager see in the app?
The My team block brings together their “To approve” inbox and their team’s situation for the day (present, late, absent). They approve leave in a few taps, from the site or the store, and receive notifications on their phone.

What is an employee portal?
An employee portal is a personal access where employees do themselves what used to go through HR: schedule, hours, leave balances, requests, certificates, payslips. In TEMPO, it installs on the phone’s home screen and also lets employees clock in with their GPS position.
Does the employee app work without the Internet?
Clocking in does: without a network, TEMPO keeps the punch on the phone with its original time and sends it automatically as soon as the connection returns. The other screens, such as requests or payslips, need a connection to show up-to-date data.
Can an employee see their payslips online?
Yes. Once HR publishes the payslips, each employee is notified and downloads theirs as a PDF from “My payslips”. They never see a colleague’s payslip, and unpublished payslips stay hidden.
Do you need an email address to use the app?
No. In TEMPO, an employee signs in with their phone number and a password, or activates their account by scanning the QR code HR gives them. Email remains possible for those who have one, and the app installs without an app store.
