Why does time and attendance differ from one sector to another?
Because the challenge is never the same: no wall for a time clock on a worksite, hours that follow opening times in a store, night teams at the factory, 24-hour guard shifts in security.
TEMPO uses a single calculation engine, with attendance policies, shifts and work cycles specific to each site, department or employee.
What is your sector?
Each page describes situations on the ground and how TEMPO handles them.
- Construction sites Clock in site workers without a fixed time clock: phone with GPS and perimeter, selfie, offline sending, outdoor time clocks.
- Retail and distribution Time and attendance software for stores and chains in Morocco: schedules based on opening hours, Ramadan, weekly rest, tracking per store.
- Manufacturing Factory time and attendance in Morocco: 2x8 and 3x8 shifts, night shifts across two dates, rotations, day and night overtime.
- Hotels and restaurants Time and attendance for restaurants, cafés and hotels in Morocco: split shifts, services past midnight, extras, overtime.
- Security and guarding Time and attendance for security guards in Morocco: 12 h and 24 h shifts, rotations, client sites, GPS and selfie, night hours and public holidays.
- Call centers Time and attendance and schedules for call centers in Morocco: staffing per half hour, lateness and tolerance, late and night shifts, exit slips, payroll.
- Healthcare Staff time and attendance for private clinics and hospitals in Morocco: on-call shifts, 12-hour nights, 24/7 schedules, overtime, medical check-ups.
- Multi-site attendance Centralize attendance across several sites, branches or companies in Morocco: time clocks linked online, managers per site, shared payroll.
Which features are used most in each sector?
| Sector | Typical situation | What TEMPO brings |
|---|---|---|
| Construction and worksites | Scattered workers, no fixed power supply, changing sites | Clocking in from the phone with GPS location, perimeter per worksite, selfie, deferred sending without network |
| Retail and distribution | Dozens of stores, opening hours, Ramadan | Schedule generator per site, Ramadan hours, daily attendance report per manager |
| Manufacturing | 2x8 or 3x8 teams, nights, overtime | Night shifts linked to their start day, rotation cycles, day and night overtime split |
| Hospitality and restaurants | Split shifts, late closings, extras | Multi-range shifts, in-and-out mode, seasonal and temporary contracts |
| Security and guarding | 12 h or 24 h guard shifts at client sites | Long guard shifts on a single working day, 24/48 cycles, one site and perimeter per client |
| Call centers | Tight schedules, late arrivals, nights | Adjustable lateness tolerance, anomalies to justify, night premiums |
| Healthcare | On-call shifts, 12 h nights, continuous service | 7 pm – 7 am nights on a single day, on-call cycles, staff medical checkups |

What stays the same in every sector?
- Punches come from ZKTeco or Hikvision time clocks, the phone, manual entry or an Excel import.
- The calculation applies the article 201 premiums of the Labour Code by default.
- Anomalies surface every day and are justified by an absence or an exit slip.
- Payroll receives an activity statement per period: see payroll preparation.
Leave, absences and the employee portal work the same way everywhere.
Questions fréquentes
Is there time and attendance software suited to each sector in Morocco?
TEMPO uses a single calculation engine for all sectors, but each site, department or employee follows its own attendance policy: fixed, flexible, night or split shifts or 24-hour guard shifts, rotation cycles, tolerances and premiums. Configuration is what adapts the software to your business.
Can you mix time clocks and phones in the same company?
Yes. An office employee clocks in on a ZKTeco or Hikvision time clock, a construction worker from their phone with GPS location, and a manager can enter a forgotten punch. All these punches feed the same calculation, the same reports and the same payroll activity statement.
Are overtime premiums the same in every sector?
By default, TEMPO applies the article 201 scale of the Labour Code: 25% by day and 50% by night on a working day, 50% and 100% on a rest day or public holiday. If your agreement provides better, you add your own bands in the overtime rules.
Do you need a different module for each sector?
No. The Time and attendance module covers time clocks, schedules, calculation and reports for all sectors. Add-on modules (vehicles, equipment, expenses, mission orders, contracts…) are switched on as needed. The same company can track a worksite by phone and a head office on a time clock, with a single calculation.
