What does the Labour Code say about occupational health in Morocco?
Law n° 65-99 devotes articles 304 to 331 to occupational health services, including the pre-employment exam and the medical surveillance of employees.
TEMPO suggests an exam every 12 months, every 6 months under enhanced surveillance: values you set with your occupational doctor.
What does the Occupational health module do?
A list of exams, a form to schedule them or enter the result, and reminders.
Four types of exam
Pre-employment, periodic, return-to-work and on request.
Fitness for work
Fit, fit with restrictions, temporarily unfit or unfit.
Medical confidentiality respected
Only the restrictions the employer needs are recorded, never a diagnosis.
Enhanced surveillance
For high-risk jobs, the next exam comes round sooner.
Reminders to HR
An alert before each scheduled exam, by default 30, 15 and 7 days before.
Fitness certificate
The scan of the certificate issued by the doctor, attached to the exam.
How do you schedule pre-employment exams for all employees?
In one click: a banner shows how many employees have no exam, and “Schedule pre-employment exams” creates one for each of them. The list then shows each exam as scheduled, overdue or done, filterable by site, department and period.
How do you record the result of a medical exam?
- 1
Enter the result
The date it took place and the fitness decision.
- 2
Note the restrictions
For example “no night work for three months”.
- 3
Attach the certificate
The scan of the fitness certificate signed by the doctor.
- 4
Confirm the next exam
TEMPO suggests the date of the next periodic exam.
Who sees medical information?
Only users with the permission, within their scope. Alerts go to HR, not to the manager, and every change is recorded in the Activity log. Hosting measures are described on the data security page.
In the same employee file
Medical exams, contracts and training are read from the same employee record.
- Employment contracts CDI, CDD, ANAPEC, internship, temp, seasonal: track contracts, probation end dates and deadlines with alerts, in TEMPO.

How do you track employees’ medical exams in Morocco?
With the TEMPO Occupational health module, each exam (pre-employment, periodic, return-to-work or on request) has a scheduled date, a calculated status and, once done, the fitness decision and the doctor’s certificate. HR receives an alert before each exam, and the next periodic exam is suggested when the result is recorded.
How often is the occupational medical exam?
By default, TEMPO suggests an exam every 12 months, and every 6 months under enhanced surveillance, based on our reading of the Labour Code (articles 304 to 331). Have your occupational doctor confirm the frequency for your jobs, then adjust it in the module settings.
Can a diagnosis be recorded in the software?
No, and the form says so. TEMPO keeps only the fitness decision (fit, fit with restrictions, temporarily unfit, unfit), the restrictions the employer must respect, the name of the doctor or service and the fitness certificate. The diagnosis remains covered by medical confidentiality and has no place in the HR file.
What is a fitness certificate?
It is the document the occupational doctor issues after an exam to state whether the employee is fit for their job, with any restrictions or adjustments. In TEMPO, it is attached to the exam as a PDF or image; it is visible only to users with permission to view medical exams.
