Attendance anomalies, missed punches and late arrival tracking

The TEMPO HRIS detects attendance anomalies for companies in Morocco as soon as the day is calculated: missing clock-out, late arrival, early departure, presence on a rest day, punch outside the zone. They land in an inbox to process, where the manager adds the missed punch, has the gap justified with an exit slip or an absence, or dismisses it with a recorded reason.

What is an attendance anomaly?

It is a gap between what was planned and what was punched that a manager must review before payroll. TEMPO flags it with its evidence (“Planned 09:00, punched 09:23”), so each case is settled as it comes and not discovered on closing day.

Which anomalies does TEMPO detect?

  • Missing clock-out

    When it appears
    A clock-in without a clock-out: the most common oversight.
  • Late arrival

    When it appears
Arrival after the planned start, beyond the tolerance.
  • Early departure

    When it appears
Departure before the planned end, beyond the tolerance.
  • Unscheduled presence

    When it appears
    Punches on a rest day.
  • Punch outside the zone

    When it appears
A mobile punch outside the site’s GPS perimeter.
  • Duplicate punches

    When it appears
A badge swiped twice in a row.

Anomaly types and what triggers them

How do you avoid counting two-minute late arrivals?

Set a tolerance per site, department or employee. With 15 minutes, arriving at 09:14 for a 09:00 start counts nothing; arriving at 09:20 counts 20 minutes late.

How do you process an anomaly?

  1. 1

    Open the anomaly inbox

Open anomalies are grouped by site and can be filtered.

  2. 2

    Add the missed punch

Enter the time with a reason: the day is recalculated immediately.

  3. 3

    Justify

Open a pre-filled exit slip or absence from the anomaly.

  4. 4

    Resolve or dismiss

One by one or in bulk, with a recorded reason.

How do you track late arrivals over time?

  • Dashboard

Today’s late arrivals and missing punches, exportable.

  • Reports

Late arrivals and early departures totaled over the period.

  • My punches

Employees see their late arrivals and report an error from their app.

  • Before payroll

Anomalies still open are counted so nothing is closed blindly.

Are punch corrections recorded?

Yes, all of them. A punch added by hand carries the “Manual” label and its reason, a dismissed punch stays visible, and every operation is recorded in the activity log with the author, the date and the before and after values.

Questions fréquentes

What do you do when someone forgets to clock in or out?

The oversight creates a “Missing clock-out” anomaly in the anomaly inbox. The manager adds the missed punch with a reason, and the day is recalculated immediately; or has the gap justified with an exit slip or an absence. The employee can also report the error from their app, through an HR request.

How does TEMPO calculate a late arrival?

Lateness is the gap between the first punch of the day and the start planned in the schedule. Below the time and attendance policy’s tolerance, it is ignored; from that point, every minute counts and a “Late arrival” anomaly is created. Employees on flexible hours have no late arrivals, since they have no fixed start time.

Can a late arrival be justified with an exit slip?

Yes. From the anomaly, “Justify with an exit slip” or “Justify with an absence” opens the request pre-filled for the employee and day concerned. Depending on the company setting, the anomaly switches to “Resolved” as soon as the request is filed or when it is approved.

Do changed punches leave a trace?

Yes. A manual punch carries the “Manual” label and a reason, a dismissed punch stays visible with its reason, and every operation is recorded in the activity log with the author, the date and the before and after values. A month already paid is never rewritten.
