Hikvision time clock software: online, real-time attendance with your DS-K1T terminals

TEMPO is an online HRIS for companies in Morocco whose time and attendance module receives punches from Hikvision DS-K1T terminals in real time, with no server or software installed on site. The time clock sends each punch to the cloud; TEMPO enrolls employees on it with their photo, badge and fingerprints, then calculates attendance, late arrivals and overtime against the schedule.

What software is a Hikvision time clock used with today?

Most often with iVMS-4200, the brand’s Windows software, or HikCentral on large sites. These tools are built for security: the hours calculation often ends up in Excel, site by site.

TEMPO is cloud HR and working time software, to which your Hikvision terminals send their punches directly.

How does a Hikvision time clock send its punches to TEMPO?

You copy the push address that TEMPO gives you into the time clock, and each punch arrives over HTTPS within a second. Nothing needs to be opened on your side for punches.

The step-by-step is in the guide connecting a Hikvision time clock.

  • Faces without a photo session

The photo from the record is sent to the time clock.

  • Remote fingerprints

The employee places their finger when TEMPO asks.

  • Badges

The badge on the record is written to the time clock.

  • Existing users

    Matched to employees without re-enrollment.

  • Leavers

An employee who leaves the company is removed from the time clocks.

How do you move from your current Hikvision software to TEMPO?

  1. 1

    Import employees

From an Excel file, with their photos.

  2. 2

    Register each time clock

    Model, site and serial number.

  3. 3

    Set up HTTP listening

Copy the push address shown on its record into the time clock.

  4. 4

    Match existing users

Each time clock ID is linked to an employee.

  5. 5

    Set up schedules

Days are calculated from the first punches.

What happens to a Hikvision punch in TEMPO?

Each punch is linked to the employee and compared with their schedule: arrival, departure, late arrivals, overtime and absences are calculated, and a missed punch becomes an anomaly to fix.

At the end of the period, the activity statement is ready for payroll preparation.

Which time and attendance software should you use with a Hikvision time clock?

You can use TEMPO, an online HRIS whose time and attendance module receives punches from Hikvision DS-K1T terminals within a second. Nothing is installed on site. TEMPO enrolls employees on them with their photo, badge and fingerprints, and calculates hours against schedules, leave and Moroccan public holidays.

Can you track attendance with iVMS-4200?

Yes, iVMS-4200 has a time and attendance module, but it runs on a Windows PC and the calculation often ends up in Excel. With TEMPO, the time clock sends its punches straight to the cloud, and schedules, overtime and absences are calculated online. You can keep iVMS-4200 for video surveillance.

Do you need an on-site server for a Hikvision time clock?

No. No server or dedicated PC is needed: the time clock only needs HTTPS Internet access to send its punches to TEMPO. You then check attendance for all your sites from a browser, on a computer or phone.

Are my Hikvision punches lost if the Internet goes down?

No. The time clock keeps recognizing employees and stores events in its memory during the outage, and TEMPO retrieves them afterwards without duplicates. A time clock that stops sending goes offline and appears in the daily email of offline time clocks.
