How do you find the hourly rate of a salaried employee?

Divide the monthly salary by the number of monthly hours in your payroll method. The calculator suggests 191 hours, the working month of article 238: 7,000 DH gives about 36.65 DH an hour. Others divide by 190.67 hours (2,288 / 12) or by actual hours; this divisor is a practice, so keep your payroll’s.

At the minimum wage, the hourly rate has been 17.92 DH since 1 January 2026 in non-agricultural activities (decree n° 2.25.983).

How much are 13 overtime hours worth on a 7,000 DH salary?

About 660 DH gross. A cashier on 7,000 DH a month (36.65 DH an hour over 191 hours) worked 6 daytime hours on weekdays, 2 night hours on weekdays and 5 daytime hours on a Sunday, her rest day:

  • 6 h at 125% = 274.87 DH
  • 2 h at 150% = 109.95 DH
  • 5 h at 150% = 274.87 DH

Total: 659.69 DH to add to the month’s salary, subject to social contributions and income tax.

How do you go from the calculator to automatic calculation?

TEMPO sorts hours from punches: it compares each day with the schedule or the 44-hour week, then puts each extra minute in the right box, day or night, working day, rest day or public holiday. The activity statement then totals the hours at 25, 50 and 100% per employee.

Questions fréquentes

How do I calculate an overtime hour in Morocco?

Multiply the hourly rate by 1 plus the premium: 1.25 for a daytime hour on a working day, 1.50 at night on a working day or by day on a rest day, 2 at night on a rest day (article 201). At 25 DH an hour, a daytime overtime hour on a weekday is worth 31.25 DH.

Which divisor should be used for the hourly rate in Morocco?

The calculator suggests 191 hours by default, the working month used by article 238 of the Labour Code for paid leave, and you can change it. Others use 190.67 hours (2,288 / 12) or actual hours. It is not a legal rule for overtime: keep your payroll method.

Does the calculator take public holidays into account?

Yes: the “weekly rest day or public holiday” box applies 50% by day and 100% at night, as TEMPO does by default for public holidays worked. Article 201 covers the weekly rest day; if your agreement provides specific treatment for public holidays, adjust the result.

Is the overtime calculator free?

Yes, it is free and requires no sign-up. It gives an estimate from hours already sorted. For automatic calculation from the punches of your time clocks or phones, with schedules and public holidays, book a demo of TEMPO.
