Why do annual reviews go wrong in Word and Excel?
Because each step depends on an email: the form gets lost, nobody knows who signed, and the appraisal is done “from memory”.
In a company that tracks time and attendance, the figures already exist: days worked, lateness, absences, overtime. TEMPO puts them in front of the evaluator at the moment they score.

How does an annual review run in TEMPO?
- 1
Create the evaluation
HR chooses the template, employee, period and evaluator.
- 2
Self-assessment
The employee answers, from their account or a link sent by email or QR code.
- 3
Manager evaluation
The manager scores the criteria with the self-assessment and attendance in view.
- 4
Signatures and filing
Everyone signs, HR validates if needed, and the PDF goes into the file.
How does attendance feed into the evaluation?
The attendance panel shows days worked, lateness, absences, leave and overtime calculated by the time engine for the period under review. The attendance criterion suggests a score based on these figures, which the manager can correct by giving a reason.
How do you evaluate employees who have no account?
Through the single-use link: a security guard or a cashier fills in their self-assessment or signs from their phone, with no password. Signing on paper, with the scan attached, is still possible.

How do you organize employees’ annual appraisal reviews?
With TEMPO, HR publishes an annual review template, creates each employee’s evaluation with their evaluator, then the software chains the steps: optional self-assessment, manager evaluation with attendance figures, signatures, HR step. With automatic reminders on, everyone is reminded three days before their deadline, then if they are late.
What is a staff appraisal form?
It is the list of criteria an employee is assessed on (quality of work, autonomy, customer relations…) with the rating scale used. In TEMPO, the form is a versioned template: sections of scored criteria, open questions, attendance, decision and HR comment, with scales such as “Poor to excellent” or a score from 1 to 5.
Can the employee dispute their evaluation?
When signing, they can state that they disagree and add a comment: both appear on the PDF filed in their record. Their signature confirms they have read it, not that they accept it. HR can reopen a completed evaluation; the previous PDF is kept and marked as replaced.
How do you evaluate the end of a probation period?
With a “Probation period” template: the manager evaluates the employee, then HR chooses the decision, confirm, extend or end, at the HR step that is always active for this type. The signed evaluation joins the employee’s file, next to their contract.
